NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL!
No Borders is an ongoing movement that resists racism and unfair controls
on the movement of people. A Polish demonstration on June 30 saw people
standing up against deportations, visa regulations and racist propaganda
being aimed non-western people. The country has decided to join the European
Union and wants to be part of Fortress Europe, excluding and deporting
people from the East, Asia and Africa. 16 people were arrested for minor
offences out of a smallish crowd, but a larger event, a ‘No border
camp’ has been going on in Krynki at the border between Belarussia,
Russia and Ukraine, finishing on the 7th July.

LOCAL DEMO
Cafod members and local MPs were among those demonstrating against International
Trade Laws on June 28. People met at the Pier Head and highlighted the
problems caused in poorer countries by Free Trade agreements and international
institutions like the IMF.
COCA-COLA BOYCOTT
As the world's best selling non-alcoholic drink, Coca-cola spreads the
symbol of U.S. capitalist life throughout the globe. The Coca-cola company
is ruthless in ensuring it's continued success with a long history of
human rights offences and a blatent disrespect for worker's unions and
environmental issues. A number of Colombian Coca-Cola workers have been
murdered and others have been assaulted or kidnapped. The victims are
involved in trade union activity and attempts to improve their colleagues
working conditions. Even in the States, union organisers have been sacked
and unions have taken to the streets in solidarity with the Colombian
workers.
On 22nd July 2003 a global boycott of Coca-cola will begin, initiated
by the Colombia Solidarity Movement. As well as not buying Coke and telling
people why, you can subscribe to the "boycott-coke" list at
